Investigation into suspected anti-competitive agreements

Dietlikon, 15 November 2012In its press release of 1 November 2012, Implenia announced that representatives of the Secretariat of Switzerland’s Competition Commission (WEKO) had carried out inquiries at its branch in Zernez (Canton Grisons) on 31 October 2012 and 1 November 2012. On 13 November 2012 the Competition Commission published a notice in the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce no. 221 saying that during its investigations it had become aware that agreements may have been made in the building construction, civil engineering and roads sectors, as well as in upstream markets in Canton Grisons. According to the Competition Commission, there is reason to suspect that these agreements may constitute illegal restraints on competition. Implenia continues to cooperate with the competition authorities to clarify the facts of the matter.
