Implenia wins new road improvement work worth around CHF 30 million
Dietlikon, 15 May 2013 – Implenia has won new orders from ASTRA for resurfacing work on several sections of major roads in Western Switzerland. The orders, covering a total of 43 kilometres of road, are worth around CHF 30 million. To reduce traffic disruption to a minimum, the work is being done in stages and mainly at night. These constraints and the tight deadline present a steep logistical challenge: at each site up to 40 workers will be laying around 850 tonnes of asphalt each night, producing 850-1000 metres of new road surface a day.
