Implenia strengthens its Board of Directors
Dietlikon, 14 November 2018 – In response to a recommendation by its Nomination Committee, the Board of Directors has decided to propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders to elect Barbara Lambert to the Board.
Having worked for many years as a partner at Arthur Andersen/Ernst & Young and as a member of the Executive Management Committee at Banque Pictet & Cie S.A., Barbara Lambert has a career rich in international experience, including in M&A, as well as proven expertise in the fields of accounting, risk management and internal control procedures. She headed audit activities in the financial sector for Ernst & Young Switzerland and worked as an auditor at a major Swiss bank. Until 31 March 2018, she was a member of the Executive Management Committee and Group Chief Risk Officer at Banque Pictet & Cie S.A. Since 1 April 2018, Barbara Lambert has sat on the bank's Board of Directors. Since 16 May 2018, she has also been a Member of the Supervisory Board, the Risk Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Deutsche Börse AG.
“We are convinced that Barbara Lambert will be a great addition to Implenia’s Board of Directors. She brings with her many years of international experience and extensive specialist knowledge. At the same time she also has excellent contacts in key markets of Implenia,” says Chairman of the Board of Directors Hans Ulrich Meister. The election of Barbara Lambert would mean the Board once again has seven members. This will help Implenia meet the increased demands placed on the Board of Directors by the Group’s growth, as well as strengthening the diversity of its most senior management body. The medium-term plan would be for Mrs. Lambert to become Head of the Audit and Risk Committee.
