Implenia employee awarded the Cadre d’Or

Head of Implenia Apprentice Training Olga Bolliger-Kuriger honoured for her outstanding achievements in the training of apprentices

Dietlikon, 23 October 2015 – Yesterday, the Verband Baukader Schweiz (Association of Swiss Construction Cadres) awarded the Cadre d'Or, which has recognised outstanding achievements in the construction sector since 2011. Olga Bolliger-Kuriger, who has been responsible for apprentice training at Implenia since 1 November 2014 and has campaigned for the Swiss construction industry at all times through her work, was honoured in the Construction Training category. She was the first female bricklayer in the Canton of Zurich and the first female foreman to obtain a federal qualification. In 2005, she developed an apprentice support programme for construction companies as an external specialist. Already as a freelance specialist, Olga Bolliger-Kuriger dedicated herself to the support and coaching of apprentices before moving to Implenia. "As far as I am concerned, there is no more fulfilling role than to assist young people along the path they have chosen and pave the way for their professional future", said Olga Bolliger-Kuriger in expressing her thanks. It is particularly important that they are always offered the opportunity to take personal responsibility. Adrian Geissmann, Site Manager and Apprentice Supervisor at Implenia, was also nominated for the Cadre d'Or in the Construction Training category. Adrian Geissmann has been fully committed to promoting junior staff working in construction for more than ten years. In this connection, he leads young people through their training and tries to promote each and every individual in the way that best reflects their capabilities. "We heartily congratulate Olga Bolliger-Kuriger on being awarded the Cadre d'Or and Adrian Geissmann on being nominated", says Anton Affentranger, Implenia CEO. "We are very proud to have Olga Bolliger-Kuriger and Adrian Geissmann among us at Implenia. They both significantly influence our future ", continues Affentranger.
