K11 is Implenias largest project in Norway, and is one of the two main contracts for the new E39 between Os and Bergen. K11 is one of the two main contracts for the new E39 between Os and Bergen.
The works include the construction of three tunnels; the Rå tunnel and the Sørås tunnel with a cross-section of T9,5 – T27, and a 1,5 km water tunnel with a cross-section of T5. The combined length of the tunnels is 7 km, this includes the traffic system that connects the Rå and Sørås tunnel.
The contract also includes road construction zones in Rådal, Nordås, Sørås and at Skeievatn. The day zone in Rådal contains level-separated intersections with turns from Rå and Lyshorn tunnels. The day zones at Nordås, Sørås and Skeievatn includes a connection to existing roads. In addition, ipedestrian and bicycle paths will be constructed, as well as three wooden bridges, five portals and technical buildings.
