As Switzerland's leading construction and real estate services provider, Implenia contributes its share to development.
Sustainability and partnership-based relationships form the basis of every Implenia sponsorship - even outside the real estate and construction services sector. The commitments focus on culture, innovation and education, as well as on institutions in the social sector. In addition to smaller, local sponsorships, Implenia is also involved at a broader level, as the following examples show.
Swissloop Tunneling is a student association at ETH Zurich and researches new solutions for the tunnelling industry. Last year, the team built their first tunnel boring machine and named it "Groundhog Alpha" after the local tunnel-building marmot.
The VersuchsStollen Hagerbach is a fascinating underground world and offers a real test environment for innovations for underground mining. This makes it an important platform for the further development of the industry. Drawing on the expertise of industry leaders, the VSH's mission is to work with industry partners to improve tunnelling and mining technology, which Implenia supports as a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors.
As a Platinum Partner of NZZ Real Estate, Implenia is involved in the leading platform of the Swiss real estate industry. Decision-makers, investors and project developers jointly shed light on current topics, trends and developments in the real estate markets, develop strategies for economic and regulatory challenges and identify possible solutions. The "RE.Visioneers" bring together the next generation of entrepreneurs in the Swiss real estate world in an exclusive network.
In the cultural field, Implenia cooperates with the "International Circus Festival YOUNG STAGE Basel", which is committed to promoting young artists. The mission of the organization is to offer a platform and a job exchange to very talented young artists from all over the world, to promote contemporary circus in general, to enable networking and to inspire the next generation (children and young people). The "International Circus Festival YOUNG STAGE Basel" is the largest of its kind in Switzerland and is one of the most important in the industry worldwide.
Implenia has a long-standing partnership with the "Smiling Gecko" association. "Smiling Gecko" is an aid project that uses economically and ecologically sustainable cluster projects to promote a holistic approach to continuously improving the living conditions of the rural Cambodian population. Since August 2017, Implenia has been supporting "Smiling Gecko" in Cambodia with expert knowledge. Every 3 months, Implenia employees from different areas support local residents with their expertise and lend a hand with construction and infrastructure projects.
