New building fire station 3 Fraport
Short description
As part of the expansion of Frankfurt Airport, a new fire station is built with training and education centre. Implenia Fassadentechnik is responsible for the multifaceted outer shell of the buildings.
The project
The new construction of Fire Station 3 at Frankfurt Airport consists of four main building sections: the fire station with workshops, offices and the vehicle hall as well as the rescue station, the fire brigade training centre and an associated vehicle and equipment hall.
The individual components are differentiated by colour, so that the different structures stand out from one another. The higher components, such as the fire brigade training tower in exposed concrete and the fire station with its white metal facade, stand out clearly from the dark grey metal facade of the main building. Construction of the fire station did start in 2019 and completion is planned for 2020.
