Situated diagonally opposite Berlin Cathedral, Berlin Palace – now the home of the Humboldt Forum – is undergoing reconstruction financed by the government and by donations.
The Humboldt Forum at Berlin Palace is the largest cultural building in Germany and sits at the heart of Berlin. It unites science, culture and social exchange under one roof and offers an extensive range of cultural attractions, with a focus on museums. The Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss is the construction client and owner of the building.
The first foundation stone was laid in 2013, the body shell was completed in 2015, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
