Gollachbrücken

Gollachbrücken

Short description

New replacements for three bridges as part of the bridge strengthening scheme for the Gollach Bridge

The project

This project comprises construction of the new replacements for the three bridges BW 693a, BW 694b and BW 695c as part of the systematic bridge strengthening scheme for the Gollach Bridge.

These bridges are located on the A7 motorway for Fulda - Würzburg - Ulm on the section between the Gollhofen and Uffenheim-Langensteinach junctions, over a distance of 2.9 kilometres between the 693.000 and 695.9 kilometre points.

Challenges

The challenges faced during the project included efficient handling of the various traffic phases and routings, the complexity of the structural engineering, and the dimensions of the abutments. The tight schedule also made the project more difficult.
