BIPSO "Quality Control Laboratory" production building

Short description

Construction of a quality control laboratory as an extended building shell with subsequent steel structure, waterproofing, façades and interior construction work for the BIPSO production facilities of the pharmaceutical and diagnostics company Bracco

The project

BIPSO GmbH is part of the Bracco Imaging Group and is the group's largest production site. The Bracco Imaging Group is an international, family-run company in the healthcare sector with headquarters in Milan, Italy. It has now been owned by the Bracco family for four generations and continues to be managed by members of this family. With some 400 employees at present, BIPSO GmbH in Singen produces sterile premium contrast media for its customers in more than 100 countries.

The BIPSO GmbH plant was given a new addition in the form of a quality control laboratory.

Implenia constructed the extended building shell and the subsequent steel structure, as well as installing the waterproofing and façades and carrying out interior construction work.

Services in detail

The reinforced concrete structure is underpinned by 15-metre-long bored piles. Two reinforced concrete ceilings have a clear height of 4.15 metres each. A steel structure for the trapezoidal sheet metal roof finishes off the quality control laboratory, bringing its overall height to 14 metres. The façade is a sophisticated combination of structural glazing, a mullion-transom system, ALUCOBOND and ventilated exterior façade cladding made from aluminium slats, a thermal insulation composite system, and Aquapanel.
