The project
The new auditorium measures 400 square metres and is the centrepiece of the youth music academy which, with 15,000 pupils, is the largest in Germany. The new construction, which was completed in spring 2011, contains a total of 420 seats on the parquet floor and in the gallery.
Challenges
Implenia was involved in the project from early in the planning phase, ensuring optimum communication between all the parties. This close partnership meant that school operations could continue without a hitch during the construction period.
