Implenia CEO André Wyss was given a tour of the construction site of the new BSS building by the project team led by Oliver Lehmann and was impressed by what has been achieved so far in this project of the future.
The development with the three residential buildings with up to ten storeys and 167 flats can be seen from afar. Previously, three smaller houses, long unoccupied, stood on the 16,000 m² site, surrounded by old trees on otherwise unused land. The housing estate is a key project, not only for Implenia in Ticino, but also for Lugano. "A new mini neighbourhood" was the headline of the daily newspaper "Corriere del Ticino" after the project was presented to the public.
Over the past few weeks, Implenia employees have cast their votes for one of the five nominated teams in an internal voting process. The winners of the Health & Safety Awards 2021 have now been announced. First place went to Team DüdingenPlus from Switzerland, followed by Team Noise Protection Walls from Germany. Team CERN from France came in third.
The new arched bridge over the Aare in Aarau is an opportunity for the city and canton to give the capital a new landmark. It blends into the historic old town setting and enhances the riverside spaces, which are very popular with the population. The structure is a modern concrete construction with extremely demanding structural forms and high requirements in terms of aesthetic appearance.
Coline went into the ground once again on 3 April after 28 days of crossing the Oullins Centre station and is expected to emerge before the end of the second quarter of 2021 at the Orsel shaft. The departure of the station under an R+10 building, as well as its arrival on 6 March, are decisive events for this major construction project carried out by the Implenia (Contractor)/Dematheiu Bard consortium.
In mid-February, work on the Hyparschale in Magdeburg started again after a winter break. The mild spring air allows Implenia Instandsetzung to carry out the carbon reinforcement measures on the last two quarters.
Formed in 2006 from the merger between Zschokke and Batigroup, Implenia can look back on around 150 years of history in the construction industry. 15 years after its foundation Implenia remains a young construction company with a long history, develops and executes real estate and infrastructure with passion.
Since the ground-breaking ceremony and thus the start of construction of the "Wolken-Werk" in August 2017, the project team has repeatedly faced considerable challenges. On Friday, 13 November, the building was nevertheless handed over to the clients Leutschen-bach AG and Nyffenegger Immobilien AG on schedule.
